HARLEM (WABC) --Police have arrested a suspect accused of shooting up a Harlem bodega with a BB gun.
Authorities say 21-year-old Joshua Roman was captured on video threatening a clerk last month for refusing to sell him a cigar without identification.
Then, he is accused of returning to the store with a group of friends and opening fire, hitting four people.
A girl he was with was arrested as well.
Two others are still on the run.
The incident began with a confrontation, seen in the surveillance video from the store, when the suspect tried to buy a cigar in the Z and S Bodega on Lenox Avenue. When he couldn't prove he was over 21, the store clerk refused and eventually threatened to call 911.
"Call the police, n----! Go ahead! Show your cameras at the police! But when you see me, the next time you see me n----, you gonna remember me," the suspect can be heard telling owner Zayed Daran on the video.
Around 9 p.m. the next day, the same man came back and sucker punched Daran in front of a stunned customer. The clerk fought back, getting a hammer, and a brawl ensued in the small store.
On the video, the female suspect trashed the store before leaving. Then, an hour later, police said four people burst back in the store and opened fire with the BB gun. Daran was hit just above the heart.
The store's owner said he's fed up and is just trying to do the right thing by enforcing city tobacco laws.
"We try to follow the law, we try to listen to what they told us, but we got problem in the street," he said.
Anyone with information about the other suspects or the case in general is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
