Senior Digital Producer
WABC/ABC7 in New York City is looking for a dynamic lead producer to join our digital news and social media management team.

The Senior Digital Producer reports directly to the Executive Digital Producer and will assist in leading the digital and social team. Strong management and interpersonal skills are critical. Collaboration with senior managers and exceptional leadership skills are required.

The candidate should be creative and understand how to use all combinations of video (both live and on demand), graphics and text across different platforms, devices and social channels. This is a dynamic person who is passionate and excited about the future of local news and wants to take a major role in leading and shaping it. The candidate must have the ability to meet and adapt to changing industry demands; be flexible, understand the 24/7 news cycle, and be able to balance multiple projects/priorities.

Key responsibilities include supervising the digital team, overseeing digital and social content with a key focus on video, implementing cross platform strategies, and training others in the newsroom on how to succeed in digital and social media.

Digital Producer/Web Producer
WABC-TV is looking for a Digital Producer. Responsibilties include: producing written copy, video and pictures, and managing placement of content on multiple platforms while growing audience engagement and interaction on television and online. Strong knowledge of web content management systems, Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms. Working with social networks to create campaigns as well as providing pictures and video to help promote the show on other channels. Aid in creating contests, generating ideas and web designs for web contests for the show.
Candidate is a self-motivated, team player, who is able to generate ideas and exercise good judgment. He or she would be flexible, resourceful, and have strong organizational/time management skills with a desire to grow technically.

Basic Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of website/social media experience.
- Television production experience is helpful.

Technical Skills:
- Understanding/Experience using a Content Management Systems
- Photoshop
- Final Cut Pro preferred
- Social Networks (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google Plus)

- Experience building templates/sapplets
- Knowledge of Wordpress
- Basic understanding of HTML coding, SEO, Omniture, Brightcove, and CSS

Non-Technical Skills:
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills

Vice President of Engineering and Technology
WABC-TV, the ABC owned station in New York City, is seeking a VP of Engineering& Technology. This position will oversee the station's engineering department and be responsible for the day-to-day operation of an active news and production facility and the distribution of WABC-TV content on multiple platforms, including web, wired, satellite and over-the-air transmitters.
Candidates should have an in-depth knowledge of digital video and audio technology as well as a complete understanding of file based workflows, internet protocols, broadcast, and RF technologies. Web Developer
WABC-TV, New York. Live with Kelly and Michael is seeking a full-time Senior Web Developer to lead development of the Live with Kelly and Michael website. The Senior Web Developer should have 3+ years of experience developing sites using WordPress which includes custom theme development using well-structured, error-free PHP and valid HTML and CSS. Skill set should include project management, organization, client communication, thought leadership and expertise in web development and interface design.


  • Define and develop Live with Kelly and Michael website from initial concept, site architecture, and user interface to finished deliverable
  • Code and implement WordPress sites from Photoshop layout through HTML/CSS to a custom theme, functions, and plugins
  • Define and build new features, enhancements, and content of the existing website
  • Create and update re-usable code libraries to streamline WordPress development cycle

Stage Manager
WABC-TV seeks a studio Stage Manager for all on air product. This person will be responsible for studio floor direction for all News and public affairs programs.
  1. Act as primary link between the on-air talent and control room Directors and Producers.
  2. Decipher scripts/rundowns in a fast changing, breaking news environment.
  3. Cuing of on-air reporters and anchors and direct them into position.
  4. Coordinate on placement of props/platforms with stage crew.
  5. Coordinate anchor/reporter mic assignments.
  6. Keeping one step ahead in anticipating and handling changes during the newscast.

  1. 3-5 years prior Stage Manager/Associate Director experience in live news.
  2. Ability to cover large studio floor space as determined by needs of the newscast.
  3. Need to have shift flexibility and willingness to work long hours.

Experience in a major news market.
This is a DGA represented position.
