Dozens of passengers finally made it New York City, after their New York-bound Megabus was involved in a wreck Friday afternoon on Interstate 95 in Maryland.

All northbound lanes were closed at Exit 89 in Havre de Grace in Harford County at around 3:40 p.m. after the bus apparently blew a tire and hit a guardrail. The vehicle remained upright.

A passenger told Eyewitness News that first the bus hit an overhang, shattering windows.

There were 74 passengers on board. Firefighters helped them all get off the bus, and no one was seriously hurt.

Another bus was brought in to finish the trip.

"Megabus.com is aware that an incident has occurred on Interstate 95 near Webster Village, Maryland," said Sean Hughes, associate director of corporate affairs for Coach USA North America. "We are currently working with local officials to gather details of the incident. Safety is megabus.com 's number one priority."
