In this week's Neighborhood Eats, Lauren Glassberg takes a look at a Latin Vegan restaurant in Brooklyn.

Danny Carabano is a vegan but he and his brother Alex aren't just serving up vegan food in park slope. The V-Spot is also Kosher with a Latin twist.

They pay homage to their Columbian background with dishes like empanadas and arepas.

And there's quite a kick in their salsa fresca.

Aside from those Latin inspired dishes, you'll also find Italian dishes like Vegan Lasagna and Asian style entrees.

And if you really want to laugh, the V-spot offers a comedy night.

Vspot arepas (makes 4)

  • 2 1/2 cups masarepa cornmeal (found in any supermarket typically in the Latin aisle or baking aisle)

  • 2 & 3/4 cups hot water
  • 2 tablespoons melted smart balance vegan butter (found in all supermarkets)
  • 2 teaspoons of olive or vegetable oil
