Danny Carabano is a vegan but he and his brother Alex aren't just serving up vegan food in park slope. The V-Spot is also Kosher with a Latin twist.
They pay homage to their Columbian background with dishes like empanadas and arepas.
And there's quite a kick in their salsa fresca.
Aside from those Latin inspired dishes, you'll also find Italian dishes like Vegan Lasagna and Asian style entrees.
And if you really want to laugh, the V-spot offers a comedy night.
Vspot arepas (makes 4)
Mix cornmeal & sea salt in a large bowl. Stir in hot water. Then stir in butter & 1tsp oil. Drop in corn nibblets & mix all together. Let sit about 15 minutes. Grab a small hand full of dough, roll it into a ball. Flatten it into a thick patty. Add remaining tsp of olive oil to pan or griddle. Heat over medium heat and cook each arepa until crisp and lightly browned.
