Michael Nash, 20, drove the Honda into Avenue Sound on East Main Street in Patchogue around 3 p.m. Tuesday, crashing right through the front entrance at a high rate of speed and sending glass and debris flying everywhere.

Police say Nash was walking by a Jiffy Lube on Medford Avenue when he spotted the parked SUV with the keys in the ignition, jumped in and took off.
An officer spotted him and tried to pull him over, but Nash sped away and eventually lost control of the vehicle.
The SUV narrowly missed several customers who had to dive out of the way. A woman in the store suffered a minor injury.
The store manager says the car was actually airborne when it hit the store.
"As soon as we saw the wheels go up in the air, all of us kind of turned around and just ran," Vikas Moolchandani said. "The entire front showroom is completely damaged, as well as all the equipment by the front door. It's a big loss."
On Wednesday morning, the outside of the store was boarded up, while the inside looked like a tornado came through.
Nash is charged with grand larceny, unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle and reckless endangerment.
