The last of the victims of the deadly explosion in East Harlem that killed eight people and leveled two buildings was remembered Monday evening.

Friends and family gathered at funeral services for 67-year-old Carmen Tanco at the Bethel Gospel Academy in East Harlem.

She lived on the second floor of one of the buildings that collapsed.

Meanwhile, the 16-year-old boy critically hurt in the explosion is said to be recovering in Harlem Hospital.

His mother and sister were both killed in the blast.

According to his father, the teen opened his eyes and tried to smile from his hospital bed Sunday.

Investigators continue searching through the rubble, which has been moved to Randall's Island.

They hope to find clues as to what caused the explosion. The debris includes everything from building materials to clothing and books.
