New York City has issued a snow alert for Saturday, but this time meteorologists are not expecting a big winter storm.

The AccuWeather forecast is calling for snow to begin mid-morning, and by 4 p.m., the New York area could see a coating to two inches, with 1-3 inches expected in the areas north and west. High temperatures are expected to reach 30, with subzero wind chills returning Saturday night.

The city sanitation epartment says its workers are loading 365 salt spreaders, attaching plows and preparing chains for the Saturday snow.

Alternate side parking regulations are suspended for the day.

A winter weather advisory has been issued in New Jersey for Sussex, Warren and Hunterdon counties.

A snowstorm this week dumped up to 11 inches of snow on the city. Mayor Bill de Blasio has faced criticism for his handling of the city's response.
