The idea of banning horse-drawn carriages didn't get too far under Mayor Bloomberg.

But the Mayor-Elect says the horse-and-buggy era is over.

Monday, Bill de Blasio repeated he plans to get rid of the horse carriage industry.

He said it's inhumane.

De blasio said he is working with his advisors on how to make the change.

He also said they are looking for alternatives, like antique-style electric cars that would give people jobs and appeal to tourists.
