East Patchogue house destroyed by fire

A fire ripped through a home in East Patchogue, Long Island early Tuesday morning.

Flames engulfed the house on Orchard Road just after midnight, and it took firefighters about an hour to bring the blaze under control.

The fire started on the first floor and spread to the second floor.

No injuries were reported.

The Suffolk County Police Department's arson squad is looking into the cause of the fire.
