Police are searching for a man accused of trying to rob two banks in Manhattan, and they are hoping surveillance images will lead to an arrest.

The man is accused of robbing a Chase Bank in the East Village on Saturday.

Authorities say he also tried to rob another Chase Bank in Greenwich Village on Tuesday, but the teller refused to give him money before he fled the scene.

No injuries were reported in either incident.

The suspect is described as a black male between 25 and 35 years of age, about 5-foot-10, with a slim build, dreadlocks and a goatee.

Anyone with information in regards to either of these incidents is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
