A Long Island high school that has been closed for repairs since Hurricane Sandy hit six months ago is finally reopening its doors to students Monday.

East Rockaway Junior-Senior High School suffered $10 million in damages after the storm left flood water 5 feet deep inside the school.

Students have been attending classes at two schools in Baldwin.

The district paid for some of the repairs with insurance money. It hopes to cover the rest with money from FEMA.
