A dog left in the freezing cold in Newark was saved, after being spotted by Eyewitness News reporter Toni Yates and her crew.

Yates tweeted a message to Newark Mayor Cory Booker, who loaded the dog into a police car and contacted its owner.

But sadly, there are many other animals who are the victims of abuse and neglect.
