Fire destroys stores in New Jersey strip mall

One store was destroyed and two others were severely damaged in a strip mall fire in Franklin Township, New Jersey.

The fire took place at 752 Hamilton Street.

The store that was destroyed was a Welsh Farms.

The Wireless Source, located immediately next door to the Welsh Farms suffered extensive water and smoke damage. Two restaurants within the strip mall, Golden Jade and El Sabor Latino Restaurant suffered smoke damage. The remaining two businesses, a salon and Laundromat were unaffected. The gas and electric utilities to all 6 stores within the mall were shut off.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it appears to be accidental.
