Police: Woman used stun gun to steal $40,000 engagement ring

December 4, 2012 6:15:54 AM PST
Chicago police said an Arizona woman was arrested for firing a stun gun at a woman in Bucktown so she and the victim's daughter could steal a $40,000 engagement ring.

Linda Falk, 55, is charged with armed robbery using a Taser or stun gun, according to police.

Falk and the victim's daughter, Julie Franck, 36, allegedly plotted the robbery together.

Police said Franck wore a ski mask during the incident so her mother would not recognize her, but a witness pulled it off before she and Falk drove away.

Franck was arrested and charged with armed robbery.

Falk is accused of firing the stun gun 15 times at the victim.
