1, 2, and 3 train service has resumed between Christopher Street and 42nd Street after a police investigation.

A prisoner escaped police custody, jumped onto the train tracks and fled.

The escaped prisoner was later arrested at Lexington Avenue and East 22nd Street in Gramercy Park at around 8:30 p.m. Friday.

He still had handcuffs on him. He was spotted by counter terrorism officers.

Police say he had been arrested for selling marijuana.

He was being transported to a police precinct when he somehow escaped custody on Christopher Street and fled into the subway station.

It's unclear how he got to Lexington and 22nd Street.
