Traffic agent assaulted in Brooklyn

Surveillance photo released by NYPD of suspect wanted in an assault on a traffic cop.

The search is on for a man who assaulted a traffic enforcement agent, unprovoked, on the street in Brooklyn.

Police say the suspect, caught on surveillance video, punched and bit a 27- year old man on Coney Island.

The incident happened at 10:00 p.m. on July 13th in the vicinity of Brighton Beach Avenue and Coney Island Avenue.

The suspect is described as a 25-30 year old white man, approximately 5'10"- 6'0". He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts and dark-colored sneakers.
