NEW YORK --So you wish there was more "Good Morning America" to go around? You're in luck!Introducing "Good Afternoon America," a one-hour extension of the popular morning show hosted by GMA's Josh Elliott and Lara Spencer every weekday at 2 p.m. starting on Monday, July 9th.
The energetic program, which will feature special appearences by Sam Champion, Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos, will feature the latest news, trends, celebrity interviwews and musical performances to help provide some pep to the middle of your day -- with original entertainment, health, lifestyle, workplace and consumer reporting from members of the ABC family.
This week's list of guest stars include Broadway legend Liza Minelli and actor/comedia Sherrod Small on Monday; Wayne Knight, Donald Faison and Kristen Johnson from "The Exes" and comedian D.L. Hughley on Tuesday; actress Anna Chlumsky and actor/comedian Christian Finnegan on Wednesday; actor Blair Underwood and comedian Chuck Nice on Thursday and an interview with and performance by Wilson Phillips on Friday.
The show will be taped at GMA's Times Squares studios for nine weeks, leading up to the debut of Katie Couric's show "Katie" at 3 p.m. on Sept. 10. At that time, "General Hospital" will move to the 2 p.m. slot.
