Suffolk County SPCA is searching for a suspect accused of shooting an arrow through a cat in Medford.

Suffolk County SPCA is searching for a suspect accused of shooting an arrow through a cat in Medford.

A man called the SPCA saying a cat was on his porch with an arrow thorough it on Tuesday evening.

SPCA officers responded to the scene to treat the cat, but the cat later died at the Brookhaven Animal Shelter.

One officer was injured when the cat bit him during treatment. He was taken to Mather Memorial Hospital and treated for his injuries.

A $2,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.
