Police are looking for a gunman who carried out a dramatic robbery at a deli in Spring Valley, Rockland County last week.

The robbery happened at the 7 Days Deli on South Main Street just before 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 15.

The robber is seen on surveillance video waving a black handgun and pointing it at the clerk and patrons as he storms into the deli. As some of the customers run out the front door, the bandit starts knocking stuff off the counter and yelling at the clerk.

After the clerk tosses cash onto the counter, the gunman tells the clerk and remaining customers to get down on the floor. The bandit then runs out.

The robber was described as between 5 feet 11 inches and 6 feet tall, with a slim build, and was either white or a light-skinned black man. The robber wore a mask and extra clothing, making identifying him difficult.

Anyone with information may call the Spring Valley Police Department at 845-356-7400 and ask for Detective Roxanne Lopez.
