Man robs Gristedes in Washington Heights

Police are hoping security video will lead to the arrest the man who held up a Gristedes grocery store in Washington Heights Monday night.

Police say the suspect asked the clerk for change for a $5 bill.

When the employee opened the register, the suspect pulled out a gun and demanded cash.

He is described as being in his 50s with a gray beard, glasses and salt-and-pepper hair.
