Women taking oral contraceptives reported finding their partner less attractive and sexually satisfying than women who don't.
But since women on the pill are happier with non-sexual aspects of the relationship, they're more likely to stay together.
Researchers also theorize women on the pill are more attracted to men with lower testosterone who tend to be more faithful.
A psychologist behind the study says that women might consider switching to a non-hormonal form of birth control to see if they still want to be with their partner months before the wedding.
You can find the study in the Proceedings of the Royal Society B: Biological Sciences.
