The Architectural Digest Home Design Show opens in New York City Thursday, and among the exhibits is one focused on American-made, one-of-a-kind pieces.

Dozens of Brooklyn vendors will be there.

"It's our most exciting year to date and it's a not to be missed event," said

It's all happening at Pier 94, where an army of workers is busy getting ready for the annual Architectural Digest Home Design Show.

You'll find more than 500 vendors.

One section called "Made" showcases 160 artists, and roughly 35 are from Brooklyn, like Bec Brittain.

"Brooklyn continues to be a hub of amazing design, more and more artists and designers are coming out of Brooklyn, it's such a thriving design community so we love the idea of supporting home grown talent," said Troy Hanson, Architectural Digest Home Design Show.

Like Eric Slayton, his work is all made in Greenpoint.

His creations incorporate raw materials, concrete, and bronze and are designed to change when exposed to the environment.

Nature is also the inspiration for photographer Juliette Conroy.

I spend a lot of time shooting what was around me and what I was growing," Conroy said.

It was done all in her backyard in Carroll Gardens.

Flowers are one of her favorite things to shoot.

In all of her works, she feels bringing you extremely close to the subject, almost makes it much bigger.

Her latest fascination, believe it or not, is dust.

"It's amazing what it is, that's in dust around us. It's recycled all the time. So, it's not just my dust, it could be dusty from anyone, anywhere," Conroy said.

From their studio in East Williamsburg, Jason and his business partner Susan create decorative yet functional pieces, some with nods to our largest borough.

Their goal is to create design solutions with clean lines.

"Combining technology with things that fell comfortable to touch and look at," said Susan Doban, of Think Fabricate.
