A driver who was involved in a one-car crash on Long Island is in serious condition, but alive, thanks to two Suffolk County police officers.

The 26-year-old driver, identified as Jonathan Pitre, struck a tree on East Main Street in Yaphank.

Officers Mark Peddycourt and Christopher Costa spotted the unconscious driver in the front seat.

They pulled him out before flames engulfed the vehicle.
