February 8, 2012 4:57:31 AM PST
The NYPD is looking for the thief who took off in a New York City livery cab driver's car after threatening him with a knife.

The 59-year-old driver was not injured.

Police say the incident occurred last Friday in the Bronx.

They say after the cabbie drove the passenger to his destination, the suspect produced a knife, demanded the driver's money and told him to get out of the car.

The driver compiled and the suspect fled.

The cab was found nearby a short time later.

Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 800 577-TIPS.
