Many sick and disabled seniors want to ask their doctors how long they have to live.

A new study says most elderly patients want their doctors to tell them their life expectancy, but very few actually have that discussion.

Out of 60 patients interviewed, researchers at San Francisco VA Medical Center say only one talked about it with a doctor.

Most patients say they want to prepare for death and make the most of their remaining time.
