Westport jeweler's killer spotted in Philly

There are new clues in the murder of a jeweler in Connecticut.

Shop keepers along Philadelphia's "Jewelers' Row" say they have video of the suspect walking three days before the deadly robbery of jeweler Yekutiel Zeevi of Westport.

Thursday night in Philadelphia, investigators zeroed in on the suspect.

Police are now going public with more images of the man who is wanted for shooting and killing a Westport, Connecticut jewelry store owner a week ago.

"The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous and report his location immediately," said Jim Klein, Connecticut State Police.

Police have determined that the man was in Philadelphia just three days before the Westport robbery and shooting.

About 5'10" and in his late 30's or early 40's, he was dressed in a driving cap and captured on camera going to stores along Philly's jeweler's row late in the afternoon on December 5th.

There is footage from several different locations and from different angles, still images as well as video.

"Some area jewelers say that he's been in the shops or contacted them by telephone within the time period we've been looking at which is the week prior to the crime," said Dale Call, the Westport Police Chief.

The crime rocked the Town of Westport.

The murder Yekutiel Zeevi is the first murder in the southern Connecticut town in nearly 15 years.

The images are the latest lead in the investigation that now stretches across the tri-state area, as detectives from multiple agencies race to track the suspect down.
