Police in Connecticut have canceled an Amber Alert for a 2-year-old boy who has been found safely. Christopher Joac and his father, Roberto Mones, were spotted at a traffic stop in Oakland, N.J., about 70 miles from Bridgeport, Conn., where the child was taken.

Police took Mones into custody. The child was not harmed.

State Police issued the Amber Alert early Thursday morning.

Authorities say Joac was taken from his home late Wednesday night following a dispute between his parents.

Police say the 29-year-old Mones assaulted his wife, took the child, and fled.
