Scorching temperatures are causing delays on Metro-North trains in Connecticut.

Metro-North spokeswoman Marjorie Anders says wires drooping from Friday's record-level heat became tangled with train equipment on an eastbound train between Westport and Green's Farms stations.

Anders says power to that train had to be shut off for 90 minutes for repairs. She said three passengers inside the train complained of heat fatigue during the wait but there appeared to be no serious health effects.

Anders says trains are still delayed east of Stamford to New Haven by about 45 minutes.
