Former White Plains Mayor gets probation

White Plains Mayor Adam Bradley has resigned months after conviction.

The former mayor of White Plains has been sentenced to 3 years' probation for domestic violence.

Adam Bradley was also told to stay away permanently from his estranged wife.

The judge criticized the 49-year-old Bradley for continuing to claim that he was the victim in the case, but she said she was taking into account his clean record.

Bradley was convicted in December and resigned as White Plains mayor last month after barely a year in office. When he was elected in 2009, the former state assemblyman was considered a politician on the rise.

Bradley's wife alleged that he slammed a door on her fingers and threw hot tea at her.

They are in divorce proceedings. The Bradleys have two young daughters
