That seafood is served up at Choptank on Bleecker Street.
Inside there's a nautical feel, and outside is total relaxation.
Josh Morgan had Maryland on his mind when he opened Choptank.
"It's actually the name of a major river that leads in to the Chesapeake Bay," said Morgan.
The menu features lots of crabs. Including crab cakes, soft shell crab sandwiches, and blue crabs.
Chef Matthew Schaeffer serves the crabs in traditional Maryland style, beer, vinegar and old bay seasoning.
They should steam for about 10 minutes, and then they're put into a brown paper bag. That's how they're served.
Pour beer, water, and half of seasoning into steamer
Once the liquid starts to boil, add crabs, and remainder of seasoning.
Cover with lid and steam for about ten minutes, or until crabs are bright red.
